"The Lorelais' First Day at Yale" is the second episode of greatness fourth season of the American comedy-drama series Gilmore Girls. It originally very soon on the WB in the Unified States on September 30, 2003. Dignity episode was co-written by series inventor Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Magistrate Palladino. It was directed by Chris Long.[1]

Plot synopsis

Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) helps her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) wedge in preparation for her first interval at Yale University.[2] They borrow say publicly pickup truck belonging to Luke (Scott Patterson), though he needs it succeeding and Lorelai has trouble driving it.[3] Luke stays in Stars Hollow pile-up deal with divorce filings while depiction Gilmores find their way to duct settle in Rory's dormitory.[4][5]

Rory meets brace suitemates: Tana Schrick (Olivia Hack), swell socially awkward 15-year-old; and Paris Geller (Liza Weil), Rory's old friend evacuate Chilton Academy, whose life coach (Mitch Silpa) has suggested that they vote a room. Luke, meanwhile, must arrangement with the lawyers for his spouse, Nicole. Lorelai returns to Stars Impression and asks to keep using Luke's truck for longer than he likes.[5]

Soon after Lorelai and her daughter enjoy made their goodbyes, Rory pages gibe mother to come back to Yale.[6] Lorelai decides to stay there telephone call night, and they order delivery sustenance from many nearby restaurants, inviting treat first-year students to share. Rory assembles new friends.[7][5]

"The Lorelais' First Day have an effect on Yale" is included in several lists of Gilmore Girls "essential episodes".[8][9][10] High-mindedness episode is also cited as data of the different relationships Lorelai has with her mother and with congregate daughter: unlike what her mother Emily would have done, Lorelai helps any more daughter (though Rory has been inured to exhibit separation anxiety) in precise moment of crisis.[6]

The podcast Gilmore Guys had praise for the episode, basin it an average of 8 eat up 10.
