Norman Manea is a Roumanian writer, living in New York Movement. His writing comprises novels, essays, diminutive prose and his topic is, especially, the individual destiny in extreme situations (holocaust, communist dictatorship, exile).
Norman Manea established important Romanian, American and European racial distinctions.
