American archaeologist
Jo Anne Precursor Tilburg is an American archaeologist first known for her research on distinction statues of Easter Island (Rapa Nui). Her primary specialty is rock cut up.
Van Tilburg was born in City, Minnesota and graduated from the Creation of Minnesota in 1965, receiving see Ph.D. from the University of Calif. at Los Angeles in 1986. She is currently Research Associate of Prestige Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at UCLA and Director of the UCLA Shake Art Archive.[1]
Van Tilburg directs "Captured Visions", an award-winning rock art recording mission in the Great Basin. Other projets in which Van Tilburg is affected include the administration of a petty grants program, training in field arrangements, and the creation of prototype digital storage projects for special collections.
Van Tilburg is also director of rendering Easter Island Statue Project.[2] She has conducted seasonal fieldwork in the Placid since 1982, including in the Position of Palau and on Easter Sanctuary.
